Do you know the difference between a frog and a toad? Frogs live near water and have a narrow body, longer hind legs, and bulgier eyes than toads.
Toads don’t need to live near water to survive and have dry, rough, bumpy skin. Their eyes are football-shaped and have short, less powerful legs than a frog. But, both frogs and toads are both amphibians and to dogs, cats, and children they are both weird and interesting when seen for the first time! The dachshund in this video has never seen a toad before and his reaction is priceless!
What else does a dog do when encountering a new potentially scary thing? Bark and growl! The dog puts on quite a ferocious display, but it appears that the toad is not impressed! Or, the toad is so scared that it can’t move! Either way, the dog isn’t going to let his mom or dad be harmed by the tiny toad!
