Like us, our dogs are at heightened risk of salmonella infection as it may lead to a number of illnesses. To date, according to Sunshine Mills Inc, there have been no illnesses, injuries or complaints reported, but you should still be on high alert for your dog and family’s sake.

The issue was detected during routine quality assurance testing in a sample of 5lb Sprout Sporting dog food. Sunshine Mills was immediately notified by the distributor of this dog food product, Fleet Wholesale Supply Company. The company also alerted the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
