Being tired is natural. We all need sleep, even the animals that live in the wild sleep sometimes.
Our bodies need sleep to rejuvenate and restore, to repair tissue, to grow muscle, and to make hormones, according to the sleepfoundation.org. It is recommended that you get eight hours of sleep a day. But, just because you need sleep, doesn’t mean that you always want it! You can get overtired, but that is a topic for another day. If you are tired, you usually will just go lay down on the bed and wait for the Sandman.
Sometimes, while you wait, you may think of other things you could do. But, you should just wait. Fighting sleep is often futile! Puppies and children are experts at fighting sleep! Watch the rather tired baby mini dachshund try to prevent sleep! In the end, you will see who wins the battle – but never fear, sleep always catches you in the end!
