Can you imagine losing a member of your family for so long and then getting them back suddenly? One family lost their beagle, Maisy 6 years ago. She followed the kids into the woods and never came back.
The family put up flyers everywhere, searching for their lost family member but as time went on, it seemed that Maisy was gone for good. That is, until the got a phone call from a local animal shelter 6 years after Maisy the beagle first went missing. The shelter said they had Maisy.

The family had Maisy micro-chipped before she went missing and they made sure to keep the info on her chip up to date over the years just in case. It was that chip that allowed shelter staff to contact the family when they found Maisy.
