Best Friends Have Come Up With A Unique Way To Play Together!

A woman named Sue Rogers, who is the founder of The Mia Foundation, received a call last summer, asking if she was interested in taking in an abandoned baby bird.

Near to her home, a construction crew found a nest while working and once they moved it, they saw that their mother never returned. Sue was the first person they called and she willingly agreed to take her in for a few weeks until she was big enough and healthy enough to fly and survive on her own.

Time went on, and fall came, making Sue realize that the bird wasn’t leaving, even though it was perfectly capable of doing so. The little bird named Lovey, would fly around her house and not pay any attention to Sue, which quickly changed when a tiny puppy named Alfie sparked her interest.

Alfie was 8 weeks old, but was the size of a newborn, and was incredibly sick. Luckily, Sue nursed Alfie back to health in the comfort of his own space. She kept him away from the other dogs because he was just too small and fragile. One day she let Alfie socialize and run around a bit, which is when Lovey quickly friended Alfie.

Sue wonders if Lovey’s liking for Alfie has to do with his similar size and similar color, but for some reason, they are the most unlikely of friends. Whenever Alfie would come to play with the other dogs, Lovey was right by his side.

Now, Lovey hops on Alfie for piggyback rides and have formed an incredible bond.
