A pet food company has issued a recall for two of its frozen products, so if you’ve purchased from a brand called Blue Ridge Beef of Eatonton, Georgia, then please pay attention to this voluntary recall!
This applies to consumers in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.
These products are being recalled as they are believed to have a possibility of being contaminated with Salmonella and/or Listeria, and as such, it’s vital that you make sure you haven’t bought any food that meets the following description. Two kitten illnesses and long dog death have been reported as a result of these products.
The affected items are sold in 2lbs chubs, and here are their details:
1. Beef for Dogs
Lot Number: MFD GA8516
UPC Code: 8542980011009
2. Kitten Grind
Lot Number: MFD GA81216

While your pets may be affected by consuming these products, humans are also susceptible to Salmonella or Listeria from handling these food products alone. So if you find yourself or your pup experiencing symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, or fever, then please get medical help immediately.
You can return these items, if you’ve purchased them, to the store you bought it from to receive a full refund. Please share so other parents to pets can see this!
