Bonded German Shepherd And His Buddy Separated At Shelter Somehow End Up In The Same Family!

Abby and Riley lived through the worst days of their lives together—homeless and hungry, they were strays for a long time and while they didn’t have much, they had each other.

When Alycia and Rebecca of Animal House TV heard about the two dogs entering the Adams County Pet Rescue, they noticed the first thing the staff did was separate them.

Soon enough the ladies found out that Abby was sitting outside Riley’s kennel each morning. It was like nothing they’d ever heard! She just had to be with him.

Unfortunately, because bonded pairs are so difficult to adopt out into homes, the shelter staff still separated them. Riley was ready for adoption, so he quickly got adopted out and Abby was put into a training program because she wasn’t quite as comfortable with people as her partner was. Unfortunately, as time went on, Riley was adopted out and Abby remained at the shelter but a strange turn of events brought them together again.
