Brave 11-Year Old Military K9 Receives A Hero's Funeral

Pups are braving, loving, and loyal – all admirable traits that make every single fur ball beautiful and incredible.

Military K9 Nero the German shepherd pup was all of these things and more, making him a true blue hero. And like any hero, when his time came, it was only right that his parents honored his passing as they would a soldier’s.

Nero served in Afghanistan as a Contract Working Dog (CWD) for a total of seven years. When he retired, he was taken in by a group in Texas called Mission K9 Rescue that specializes in re-homing military pups after their service is over.

He was the first fur ball from Afghanistan to be taken in, and he was quickly adopted into a loving home with Mommy Judie.

After two happy years in his new home, this fur ball passed away, and was given a hero’s funeral. Please like and share this incredible pup’s story to honor his service in keeping the country safe.

Rest in peace, Nero.
