Meet Flurry the English Bulldog. He has found himself at a shelter in Staten Island, NY and is urgently looking for a forever home.
Shelter reports show his animal ID is A1091940. Shelter staff believe he is about 3 years old and weighs 66.8 lbs. He came into the shelter just a few days ago, but being in a high-kill shelter his time is very limited.
Shelter staff say, “If ever there was proof that understanding and rehabilitation don’t take place at NYACC, Flurry is it. If Flurry could speak, he would likely tell why he is so stressed out and nervous. But this three year-old English Bulldog can only show how he feels with his defensive his body language and efforts to bark, “don’t touch me. I don’t know you!” It’s that behavior that has landed this young boy on tomorrow’s euth list. He entered the ACC as a stray 3 days ago! THREE DAYS – That’s hardly enough time for any dog to adjust to a new environment, let alone a boy who was found on the streets and brought to a high-kill shelter! Flurry will surely need adjustment time and the love and patience of someone willing to work with him while he overcomes his fears. That is if he makes it out of here alive. Right now, he needs the support of his URGENT family to advocate for a NEW HOPE RESCUE Partner to work with him to save his life tonight.”
