Golden retrievers are often friendly to everyone, some would argue too friendly but this story proves that goldens will do just about anything to protect the people they love.
This 11-year-old Golden retriever saved her family when an invader entered their home in Wyandotte, MI. The homeowner came out of the bathroom to find a man standing in her home, punching her dog while the golden kept her front paws on the man, barking and growling for him to leave.
The woman says this is what happens when you treat your dog like family. She wouldn’t hurt a fly normally, but this devoted golden just knew something was wrong.
The man is said to have entered through an unlocked front door and had just been released from jail weeks before this incident occurred.
