This dachshund was the big event at a game usually dominated by Chihuahuas.
The El Paso Chihuahuas, a Triple-A team affiliated with the San Diego Padres hosted a Weiner Dog Race Saturday night offering the fastest competitor $500 in cash.
Eight dachshunds lined-up at the start, but only three managed to find their way to the finish line. It doesn’t end with the race though – one doxie manages to get loose and zooms all over the field – clearly having the time of his life! It takes a good while for anyone to catch him, but the cameras capture everything and you can see the look of pure bliss on his face as he runs – this is a dream come true for this doxie!
