To be quite honest, when it comes to advertising pup adoption, the attention goes straight to looking at puppies. It can’t be helped – they are incredibly photogenic, and their size and features make them utterly irresistible. As a result, older pups tend to be featured much less, if not completely pushed out of the spotlight by their younger and more energetic peers.
This, however, is not to say that they aren’t just as wonderful! Older pups may not be as sprightly, but they have an air of grace and maturity that only comes with age. Not to mention that at this point in life, they are truly a part of your family and from experience know how to behave and act with you.
You can see this experience in this video! This Dad is walking his 10-year-old Labrador Retriever, Raja. Although elderly, the pup is still relatively fit and active, and can walk without a leash. This makes father, son, and pup walks so much easier!
