Dad Wears The Cone Of Shame So His Dog Won't Feel Lonely!

Why should a sweet dog like Ollie feel ashamed? No reason! Thankfully, Ollie has a friend who lets him know that.

Ollie had an injury recently that saw him undergoing minor surgery. He got a couple of stitches from it, and as a result, they had to fit a protective collar, known as a “cone of shame,” around his neck so the wound would heal without disturbance. As you would expect, Ollie didn’t love the new accessory.

Ollie’s mum, Alex, said that he was sad having the cone around his neck and would often mop around as though he were sorry for himself. Seeing how Ollie felt, Alex’s dad decided to do something to cheer him up a bit. So, he got himself a cone from the family’s storage and wore it.

Seeing Ollie and her dad in the cone of shame, Alex laughed and called her mom to come to see. While the incident was funny for the family, Ollie, an equal member of the family, also caught on to the joke as it lifted his spirit.

Thankfully, the cones are not permanent accessories. Ollie’s stitches healed well, and he dumped the cone after a week. His grandpa, Alex’s dad, has also gotten rid of his cone after wearing it for a few hours. Putting himself in Ollie’s shoes helped Alex’s dad understand how the sweet pup had been feeling.
