Everyone meet Daisy, an adorable English bulldog pup who was so severely injured that she almost died in the hands of her “owner” (yes I quote “owner”). But see what she’s doing now.
An owner is a person who considers that whatever he / she owns is disposable if and when needed. Owners include real estate owners, car owners, shop owners and in our case, a 35-year old woman called Lorraine Villanueva. Owners are people with disposable or fixed assets and Lorraine thought that her English bulldog Daisy was an asset she could willingly destroy.
That’s exactly what he tried to do but thankfully North Carolina Master Deputy Gonnelli was there to save the day. It’s hard to say what made her do it as there is no rationalizing this type of behavior, but deputies were called to Villanueva’s house with reports of cruelty to animals. Apparently, she had turned on her boyfriend’s dog, Daisy, stabbing her and giving her a laceration to the throat. There are reports that she also tried to suffocate the bulldog. Luckily, help wasn’t far off. As soon as Deputy Gonnelli saw the bleeding pup, he put his hand on Daisy’s throat to slow the bleeding. Daisy was immediately take to the vet where she recovered. Take a look at Daisy and her hero Deputy on page 2 below!

As for Daisy, she’s recovering and is bonding really well with deputy Gonnelli. She’s just been released from receiving treatment and is now able to eat again on her own. Lorraine, well her bond increased from $10,000 to $100,000. Daisy is now in a safe and loving home where she will know nothing but love and pampering for the rest of her days.
