Molly the dachshund pup had always been an energetic little pup. But one day, she developed a severe case of IVDD and lost the use of her hind legs. Still, that didn’t stop her!
A special cart was made for Molly to help her move around. Many pups take a while to get used to using a “wheelchair” like that one, but not Molly! She had been crying when in her crate and now that she found herself able to move again, she was overjoyed. Now she uses the cart to help her move around and run easily every single day.
But the first time she encountered the winter landscape, the wheels would get clogged with snow and affect her mobility. So her Mom bought a kid’s scooter that had detachable wheels that could be replaced with ski attachments. Her five-year-old son got the scooter, and Molly got the ski attachments – and she’s never looked back since!
Molly loves skiing around in her adapted cart, and it helps her easily keep up with her siblings, Luis and Izzy, who are both very protective of her and are always looking out for her wellbeing. Watch this video to find out more about Molly’s life story and her everyday living with her family!
