Based on some sources, Dr. Sophia Yin, a veterinarian and applied animal behavior specialist, says that dogs feel the same basic emotions humans do, including grief, fear, anger, happiness, sadness, and even possessiveness.
Neurologist Gregory Berns is using MRIs to find out if dogs experience emotions in the same way humans do. The brain scans may shed light on whether or not the animals actually “love” their owners. Take a look at this report on page 2 below 🙂
