Dog And Tortoise Form An Inseparable Friendship

From the day Tilly G and Skippy were adopted into the same rescue pet family, the duo has been best buddies. The dog and tortoise were drawn to each other when they met and bonded for some reason.

Their mom describes their friendship as “love at first sight,” adding that the duo is inseparable now.

At the rescue, Tilly G and Skippy keep each other’s company all day. They do almost everything together, including snacking, napping, and sunbathing. The dogs often follow each other around wherever they go.

While they both have their way of showing affection to the other, Skippy displays his affection by giving his best buddy kisses and head pats. Another way Skippy demonstrates his love for the tortoise is by bringing a prized possession, sticks, each time he finds one. “Pretty much anytime Skippy finds a stick in the yard, he prances over to show it to Tilly G,” their mom said.

Usually, Tilly G is unimpressed by the sticks unless it is a collard green stick or piece of romaine lettuce. However, his lack of interest in sticks has not stopped his canine buddy from bringing them to him. Tilly G may not love every kind of stick his buddy Skippy brings to him. However, he appreciates the thought and loves his brother. The duo will continue hanging out together, sticks or not.
