Mange is a skin disease caused by mites and is very common among stray and neglected dogs. Affected dogs usually lose most or all their furs and get sores on their skin. Although you can treat the condition, it is itchy and painful for dogs.
The Humane Society International in India recently found a dog that had lost all his furs and couldn't open his eyes due to severe mange. They took him in and started treating him by giving him oral medications and soothing baths to help calm his inflamed skin.
The Humane Society International in India has many laudable goals, including protecting street dogs, fighting the dog meat trade, and responding to cruelty cases.
After two months of getting medical attention and care at the rescue, the pup named Lambu was completely transformed into a different dog. The rescue took to Facebook to share his amazing transformation story.
As soon as Lambu became well again, the dog decided to remain at the rescue and serve as their unofficial gatekeeper. It's no surprise that the pup chose to remain loyal to the people who helped him at his lowest.
The Humane Society International in India said on Facebook that everyone at the rescue and people in the neighborhood loved the sweet dog.
