Dog Food Recall - Good 'n' Fun - Beefhide Chicken Sticks Recalled Due To Salmonella

Just two days ago, I reported a recall, but here I am again reporting yet another dog food recall and this time it’s Good ‘n’ Fun – Beefhide Chicken Sticks. More inside.

The Salix Animal Health, LLC have voluntarily recalled one lot of “Good ‘n’ Fun – Beefhide Chicken Sticks” on the 30th of September 2015 because they assume that it may be possibly contaminated with salmonella.

The recalled “Good ‘n’ Fun – Beefhide Chicken Sticks” was distributed nationwide to Dollar General and Dollar Tree retail stores. Packaged in a 2.8 ounce bag, a lot # AO15010 and an expiration date of 03/2018 has been stamped on the back side. The UPC code is 0 91093 82247 1.

Fortunately there has been no report of illness from this product and this is just a voluntary recall that was decided after the Georgia Department of Agriculture revealed the presence of Salmonella in one 2.8 ounce package of “Good ‘n’ Fun – Beefhide Chicken Sticks”

Dispose the product or return it to where you purchased it from for a refund or a replacement. Consumers can contact the company at (800) 338-4896, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Another Recall – Dingo brand dog chews

Meanwhile the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced the recall of certain lots of Dingo brand dog chews because they possibly contain amantadine. The affected product is called Dingo chip Twists “Chicken in the Middle” Dog Chew Treats and appears to include 2 different package sizes.

  • 6-pack Best by Date 5/16/2017
  • 16-pack: Best by Date 12/27/2015 and 5/16/2017

The responsible name on the label is United Pet Group, Inc. Cincinnati, OH. The recalled product was made in China.

The recalled product was distributed in the following states:
