Dog Food Recalled After Plastic Pieces Were Found In Them

Pup Mommies and Daddies, to attention! If you’ve recently purchased Cesar Classics brand fur ball food, please read the following information!

A recall was issued by MARS Petcare for Cesar Classics Filet Mignon Dog Food and Cesar Classics Variety Pack due to a potential choking risk in their food products. The culprit? Small, hard pieces of white plastic that had somehow gotten mixed into the food during production. Yikes!

As such, GIANT Food Stores, LLC and MARTIN’S Food Markets has removed these products from their stores. So far, there have been no reports of injuries or illnesses. That’s a relief!

Here are the details of the items recalled:

i. Cesar Classics Filet Mignon, 3.5 oz., UPC 23100017792, Item #: 21443, All Date Codes
ii. Cesar Classics Variety Pack 24 pk., UPC 23100010257, Item #: 143949, All Date Codes

If you have purchased food matching these details, make sure to get rid of any of the remaining food! For a full refund, you can bring your receipt to GIANT/MARTIN’S.

Perhaps you have some questions regarding this issue. If so, direct all calls to MARS Petcare at 800-4216456 between the hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CST. You can also visit their site here. You can also call GIANT/MARTIN’S Customer Service at 1-888-814-4268 for more information regarding this topic, or head on over to their respective websites.
