[Dog Life Alert] Dog Sitter Stacy Sean Glover No Contest For Punching Dachshund To Death. #StopDogAbuse

This happened late 2014, but it is something that NEEDS your attention. Early April this year, Stacy pleaded no contest for brutally beating up an adorable dachshund to death.

How well do we know our dog sitter? Sure we have busy lives and we still want the best for our pups, so when we’re away, we hire the services of a dog sitter to help look after our dogs. But how well do we know our dog sitter? That is a simple question that’s sending chills down my spine. Here’s why:

On the 8th of August 2014, a dog sitter called Stacy Sean Glover was requested by Jessie Anderson to look after their adorable 12-pound dachshund named Athena. When they returned home, Stacy told them that the dachshund ran away. Upon hearing that, his in-laws began checking the surveillance videos and uncovered the horror.

The video recorded on the 8th of August showed Stacy throwing, punching and kicking the poor dog. Athena was so afraid that at one point she tried hiding under the patio furniture, but Stacy tracked her down, chased and captured her. He then picked her up by the throat and carried her back inside the house by her neck. Sometime later, he carried the lifeless dog out of the door. Here’s more on the story:

The 24 year old Stacy was arrested Wednesday the following week. The shocking part is that Jesse had never met Stacy before asking him to dog sit Athena, and so she had no idea who he was and why he did such an act. Jesse was quoted saying, “She was my baby girl. She was not an angry or feisty or a mean dog, by any means. She was the sweetest, gentle, loving tiny dog. She wasn’t just a dog to me, she was my child. I don’t understand why or what she, a 12-pound miniature Daschund could have possibly done to deserve what she did. She didn’t deserve that.

Athena’s final moments of life were filled with pain, agony and fear. According to the Sarasota State Attorney’s Office, Stacy pleaded no contest during a hearing on April 2nd this year. Stacy faces two counts of animal abuse, which is considered a third-degree felony, punishable for up to 5 years jail time. Assistant State Attorney Dan Yuter was quoted saying, “We will continue to aggressively prosecute this case. We want justice for Athena.”

Moral: Know your dog sitter. It can be dangerous to allow anyone to dog sit your pet. Please SHARE this post and let’s tell everyone how important it is to choose a qualified and a professional dog sitter. Please SHARE this with your friends who consider their pets their entire world.
