Temperatures inside a car can increase so rapidly that how you left your car is not the same as when you get back in. Many of us are familiar with this, that feeling of getting hit by a wave of heat when you get back into your car.
Sometimes it is so bad that you first open a few doors before being able to get back in. In addition to this, we are all too familiar with the feeling of being seared by the seatbelt buckle or steering wheel when you first get it, yelping as we experience the unexpected heat. Now if that is how we feel getting back into a car, imagine what it must be like to be stuck in that car.
We would probably feel like passing out or we may even experience heatstroke if stuck for a long period of time. There have even been news reports of babies being forgotten in a car and becoming severely ill, with incidents of death! Now just as humans can be severely impacted, so can our dogs. This was the case for a precious pooch in Tampa, Florida. This poor dog was accidentally locked inside a car in the scorching heat. Thankfully, and luckily, a police officer, Dep. Pantano was able to rescue the doting dog with a Pop A Lock.
When the dog got out, it lapped up water the deputy provided with great need. With a sigh of relief, this precious pooch turned out to be okay and in good health. Perhaps a wake-up call for us all.
Dep. Pantano helped this pup after it was accidentally locked inside of a car in the Palm River area. With some help from Pop A Lock, they were able to quickly rescue the distressed dog. The dog gulped down some cool water & we’re happy to report, is happy and healthy! #teamHCSO pic.twitter.com/Dps1Wc7tzR

Please don’t leave your dogs in a car all by themselves. Think of it this way, leaving your dogs in the car is similar to leaving them in an oven.
