Sometimes, when our dogs get lost there could be danger awaiting them around every corner. In this case, Luca, a ten-year-old white Japanese spitz, ran into this first hand.
In the town of Derbyshire, two unlikely heroes were surprised when they saw Luca wandering along the train tracks. Two train technicians were traveling around on one of their trains which monitors the railway systems, before spotting Luca. Before any damage could occur, the emergency brake was pulled, so that nothing would happen to Luca.
The two technicians made sure that the lines were blocked before trying to lure Luca closer. With a few treats and friendly words, Luca was caught. It was the safer option to bring him along for the ride while Rhys and Beverly, the two technicians, searched for the dog parents. Luca boarded the train and got a bit of a joy ride before the two were able to use his microchip.
After making a few calls, Beverly found the dog parents on Facebook and let them know that Luca was safe and sound. By the time their shift was over, Luca was reunited with his mom Carole. She was so thankful that these two friendly technicians brought Luca on board, giving him a fun train ride, all before returning him safely home.
Carole said that Luca went missing earlier that morning during one of their daily walks. She was panicking all day and spent all her time looking for him. Carole was glad to know that amidst all her fear, Luca was enjoying his time away from home while taking a joy ride with Rhys and Beverly.
