Animal Aid Unlimited recently got a call that a street dog needed their help urgently. A good Samaritan had dropped the dog at a government hospital after finding him unconscious on the road. Swiftly, the rescue hurried to the scene to help the dog.
In a video shared on their YouTube, they said there was a slim chance the dog would have survived if they had not arrived quickly. Fortunately, they got there in time to transport the dog to their facility by ambulance.
They gave the dog emergency IV fluids for dehydration and shock at the Animal Aid Hospital. They also had to provide the dog with oxygen because he had difficulty breathing.
The rescue had doubts about whether the dog would survive due to the seriousness of his condition. “With so much blood loss, we weren’t sure he would ever wake up. But within a few hours, his eyes brightened, and he seemed to partially absorb the idea that he was in a new place. He was returning to consciousness and beginning a second chance at life,” they said.
Thankfully, after two months of daily therapy, the dog recovered fully. The rescue admits it was a long journey but describes it as beautiful. The dog, later named Kenny, can now walk, eat, and live a normal life again.
