Kane is a friendly pit bull who loves having fun. When he’s with his family, he enjoys long walks on the beach, but there’s one activity he chooses to enjoy alone and that is playing on slides.
Miguel Montano is Kane’s dad and personal cameraman who often captures his pup as he goes about his adventures. This time around, Montano caught a video of Kane teaching himself how to play on the slides at their local playground.
Kane was inspired by Montano’s young son, who would often ride down the slide, and one day he tried it out by himself and never looked back. These days, an afternoon outdoors is not complete without a trip to the park where Kane is not only a star on the slide but friendly with many of the kids playing there, too.

If your pup loves the park and you’d like to make the most of your experience, here are some tips:
Make sure they’re the right age
While parks are great environments to develop your dog’s social skills, bringing a puppy who’s younger than four months or a female dog in her heat to the park isn’t ideal. Younger puppies are better off practicing their social skills in a controlled environment where you can also teach them polite greeting skills that will benefit them once they’re old enough to go to the park.
Watch out for how they’re feeling
Keep an eye on your dog’s body language before and during your time at the park. If they’re showing signs of aggression or anxiety, it’s best to reconsider or leave the park. After all, you can’t force them to play.
Let them off the leash
Keeping your dog on a leash at the park is restrictive and could agitate them as they’d want to escape and run around or play with other dogs. As long as you keep watch, they’ll be fine.
Limit food and treats
Bringing food or treats for your dog and even yourself could spark a fight, so it’s best not to bring them. If you’d like to treat your dog, it would be ideal to do so on your way to the park or when you leave.
