Dog With A Broken Leg Tied To A Lamp Post Is Now The Happiest Pup On The Planet

It was a freezing winter last year in Canterbury, England. In the middle of the night, a dog was found tied to a lamppost near a bus stop. He was in a lot of pain because he had a broken leg, and the cold was too much for him to handle.

A passer-by spotted him and called rescuers to come to save him. The RSPCA came through, and they rescued Steve. They were able to schedule an emergency surgery for his leg. The surgery went well, but he still had to spend a month in the hospital for recovery.

After that month was up, the RSPCA moved him to their Leybourne Animal Centre, where they began working on his trauma. Steve wouldn’t let anyone near him. When a rescuer tried to approach him, he would crawl to the back of his kennel and growl at them. He had deep emotional wounds, and the rescuers knew they had a lot of work to do before he could get adopted.

Because Steve was abandoned, the rescuers had no idea about his past life, if he’d been abused or not, or even why he came to them with a broken leg. Still, the rescuers were patient and worked hard to get him to trust again. Steve got all the love and attention he needed, and he slowly began to heal.

Every day he would be a little more courageous, and, after a while, he became the happiest dog at the shelter. After months, he was finally ready to find someone to love him forever. Suzi, a kind-hearted woman, took him in and now the pair are inseparable.

Steve is finally in a loving home, and he will live a long, happy life.
