There were a lot of “awwws” and cute smiles at the unexpected family reunion of Rosie and Monty. These cockapoo dogs happened to meet while their pet parents walked them down the street.
They instantly recognized each other and got so excited that they hugged. It was such a beautiful sight, and their families took pictures of that moment. These pictures somehow made it to Twitter. If you are wondering how people received it, well, the image currently has about a million likes.
The picture eventually made its way to Twitter through Libby Pincher, but it was David who took the photo initially. Dave is a business partner to Libby’s dad. He was walking Rosie down the road when he met another group of dog parents. They had a cockapoo very similar to Rosie.
The only difference was in their fur color. While Dave and the other dog parent exchanged pleasantries, the two dogs walked up to each other, stood on their hind legs and hugged. It was such a beautiful sight.
Susan, David’s wife and Rosie’s mom recalled the event. She described it as a fantastic experience because both dogs had been separated for about 10 months. The most amazing part for her is the fact that they recognized each other after almost a year. Susan took a few photos of the moment. She sent the pictures to a friend and forgot about it. It was such a pleasant surprise when she learned that the images got to Twitter and went viral.
Apparently, both cockapoos came from the same litter. Rosie’s adoption process even makes the story all the more captivating…
Watch out for Part 2!
