Could this adorable bundle of fur be the largest litter of English bulldog puppies the world has ever seen?
Last week, Jay Dhaliwal’s three-year-old English Bulldog, Gucci gave birth to 16 puppies, which he believes could be the highest number of puppies ever born to an English Bulldog.
The 31-year-old, from Coventry, said: “She had 16 puppies, all surviving, well and healthy.
“I researched on the internet and the biggest one I came across was 13 puppies but not all survived.”
Bulldogs are known for having difficult pregnancies and typically need a little help when it comes time to give birth to keep all the puppies and mother safe and healthy through the process. Even with the extra help, even smaller sized litters can often lose puppies so this makes Gucci the bully even more incredible!
