Family Does The Sweetest Things For Two Pups Who're Hopelessly In Love!

When Hailee Graham and her husband first adopted Potate – known as Tate for short – she was so happy to end her life spent as a stray and move in with her forever home. But shortly after she found her family, she ended up finding even more – a soulmate.

When Tate first came home, Graham’s next door neighbor also adopted a pup named Vernon. The two pups didn’t ever meet, but they clearly knew the other was there, despite the very tall fence separating their yards. They desperately wanted to meet, but the timing made that difficult.

Then, one day, Graham walked out and saw Tate doing something incredible. The pup was digging with all her might, and paws visible on the other side of the fence indicated Vernon was doing the same. The two pups were trying to dig their way to each other – and nothing Graham did could make them stop.

Originally, Graham wondered if she should set up a play date for the two pups, but then she had a eureka moment. What if the solution wasn’t to give them rare and occasional time without a fence between them, but to make that a constantly available option?

So Graham and her husband, after consulting their neighbor, built a doggy door into the fence of their backyard. Tate watched as this was done, anticipation clearly etched on all her features. And once it was done, the two pups met, and the rest was history!

Now, these two spend all the time they can together, playing, cuddling, and just relaxing with each other all the time. They’re clearly in love – whether romantically, platonically, or familially – and it’s wonderful that they get to be together!
