This adorable golden retriever pup really does want to eat the blueberry that’s resting on the floor, but here’s the problem – the blueberry has a mind of it’s own!
This fur ball is trying to snack on the blueberry, but that blueberry won’t give in without a fight! Whether he wins or not, you’ve got to watch it on page 2 below, but there’s one question we often ask ourselves. Are blueberries goof for our fur balls?
According to LoveToKnow, “Veterinarians and canine nutritionists have determined that blueberries are safe for dogs in moderation. Blueberries are often included in commercial dog food and dog treats. They are low in fat and high in vitamin C and fiber.”
Then according to the study by the University of Alaska Fairbanks and published by the National Institutes of Health, “Sled dogs were fed blueberries as a dietary supplement while exercising. The results showed that the sled dogs had increased levels of antioxidants in the blood, which prevent damage from free radicals. This may have a positive effect on your pet since antioxidants play a role in fighting conditions such as cancer and heart disease.”
