Lynn Jacobson has narrated how she adopted her dog named Leesy. The pup, a chihuahua and rat terrier mix with funny ears, was in Jacobson’s care as a foster dog. However, she fell in love with the dog and adopted her for the most unusual reason.
The week Leesy arrived at Jacobson’s home, she bit her neighbor. “I had no intention of keeping her but after she bit my neighbor, well. She kinda became mine,” Jacobson said. Every dog, regardless of their breed or size, is capable of biting. Even the nicest dog may bite under certain conditions. With rare exceptions, dogs don’t bite without reason, although sometimes it may seem that way. Most often, dogs bite people when they feel threatened in some way.
Although Leesy bit her mom’s neighbor, she is a good girl who makes her mom “laugh out loud all day.” Her mom admits that she doesn’t like everyone, but she gets along with almost everyone she meets and would often ask for a pet by grabbing their hands.
It’s been five years since Jacobson adopted Leesy, and the duo is inseparable now. Leesy enjoys being around her mom, regardless of what she’s doing. “I cannot imagine life without her,” Jacobson said.
