Heroes Rescue Pup With An Embedded Collar And A Broken Jaw

Heroes Rescue Pup With An Embedded Collar And A Broken Jaw

Wandering pups can end up in a lot of places, and this German Shepherd pup was no exception. Hope for Paws, an organisation focused on rescuing animals, were called in one day when the neighbours of a construction lot noticed a pup walking around inside.

This was a major concern for the rescuers – the lot wasn’t used very often, and likely would not be opened up for a long while afterwards. The pup, who must have slipped inside during the rare times it was open, would be stuck inside for weeks or even a month. Hope for Paws then sent two rescuers, Lisa Arturo and JoAnn Wiltz, to check in on the pup.

As it turns out, this poor pup was not only severely dehydrated and starving, she also had a broken paw and an embedded collar. Thanks to the work of the rescuers, the pup – now named Elsa – has been rescued. All she needs now is a loving forever home!
