Highlights From Global Pet Expo 2016

I had a great time at Global Pet Expo this year. Going to pet expos must be what it’s like for “normal” people to go to the Mall of America or some really great outlets. With animals, animal stuff, and animal people everywhere, I am in heaven!

Me, at Pet Qwerks Checking Out The New Flavorit Flavors

There is never enough time to see absolutely everything I want to see, but I made sure to stop in to see Pet Qwerks and smell their new flavors of Flavorit – Berry and Sweet Potato! They gave me some for my dogs to sample and Sweet Potato seems to be their new favorite (although personally, I love the smell of the Berry flavor bone)! My dogs have yet to try a Flavorit flavor they don’t like though. They seem to intentionally rotate between mint, peanut butter, sweet potato, and berry depending on what they’re in the mood for. I love it because they help with doggie breath too! I know the mint bone was designed to help with doggie breath, but they all seem to help my fur kids. They just smell like sweet potato, berries, or peanut butter instead.

PABS (Pet Anti Breeding System) Dog Chastity Belt for Female Dogs

The most memorable double-take I did was for a doggie chastity belt. It’s designed for female dogs to prevent them from breeding. The company, pabsforpets.com is pro-spay and neuter but they say they are on a mission to end to premature spaying so they designed this chastity belt to help keep female dogs from getting pregnant, but to also allow them to wait until their growth plates have formed before getting spayed. Interesting idea, really funny name.

I also noticed there are more and more organic, human-grade treats available on the market. Things are definitely changing for our dogs and it’s great to see some companies stepping up to the plate to help us feed our dogs like family. I’m calling it now – there’s going to be a lot more of this in the future and I couldn’t be happier about it!

I got a bunch of samples to try out too so I’ll be testing some new products out and reporting on them in the coming months. Everything from fun things for dog lovers to leashes, toys and treats. I’ll share the good ones with you so check back in.

Warm wags,
