Hospice Nurse Says Dying Man Saw His Dogs And Other People In His Family Appear In The Room

The effect our pets have on our lives is absolutely astounding and at the same time heart-warming. One of the most rewarding services our beloved companions provide is that of being a comforter, simply adding immeasurable value to people by offering solace where no human can.

A sick or dying patient in the hospital can find his spirits regenerated after a visit from a loved one, or a beloved pet. Many professionals in the health sector have come to realize how big of a change acceptance of nearing the end of life is. As in the case of a hospice nurse Gabrielle Elise Jimenez. Gabriella trained to become a hospice nurse and carer and wanted to do all she could for those around her.

She started a Facebook page to support those who are facing the end of their times and invited anybody to share their stories and experiences. To encourage people to not be afraid of talking about death, she shared a story on her page about what one of her hospice patients had experienced.

She described how a gentleman she was treating had seen visions of two of his dogs that had previously passed away. Seeing them meant the world to him, and he found comfort and refuge through it. Her Facebook page went viral, and Gabrielle continued to ease the heartbreak around other people transitioning into the end of their lives, or those of their loved ones.

That love and capacity of our dogs to ease any situation should never be under-estimated. Even when they have passed on, they still manage to find a way to bring comfort and refuge into our souls. Another reminder that our canine companions should be cherished forever!
