How To PROPERLY Exercise A Dog With Hip Dysplasia

Is your fur kid suffering from hip dysplasia? Remember that exercise is very important for all dogs, but especially for ones who suffer from hip dysplasia. More here.

A dog truly is man’s (and woman’s) best friend – if you take care of your pet, your pet will take care of you. Hip dysplasia can be common in larger breed dogs, especially German Shepherds as they age but it’s important to know that life doesn’t end with hip dysplasia. You just need to know how to exercise your fur kid properly to keep them moving and comfortable.

The first thing is to ensure you are keeping them at an appropriate weight. Carrying around even just a couple extra pounds can make a big difference for a dog who has trouble with their hips and you don’t want to add any unnecessary weight to the equation. It just makes things more difficult on them.

Once you have that down, there is plenty to keep in mind to ensure you exercise them properly. Find out how to exercise a dog with hip dysplasia with help from a dynamic, holistic and conventional veterinarian called Dr. Jena Questen, owner of DrQuesten, in the video on page 2 below.
