One of the fun activities dog parents enjoy is running around the yard with their dogs. However, for dog parents with blind and deaf dogs, it can be very challenging.
One dog mum, Erica Flood, has a husky named Lady who cannot see or hear well. Due to Lady's lack of sight and hearing, her family can't engage her in a game of fetch or tag.
In a video shared on TikTok, Erica disclosed that she adopted Lady (formerly Blingy) after seeing her profile on an adoption advert. Lady's former family had abandoned her after they moved overseas. Erica adopted Lady because she felt the pup would make a great addition to her family.
Getting Lady to settle into her new family wasn't easy; she needed time to adjust to the environment and learn how to walk on a leash. With patience and plenty of love from her family, the adjustment happened smoothly, and she integrated well into the family.

As soon as Lady became comfortable with her new home and family, she was full of life and enthusiasm. A video shared on TikTok shows Lady chasing her family through the yard. Her mum captioned the video, "When your blind dog can suddenly chase you." It's so adorable to see Lady living her best life.
