Puppies love toys. Sometimes they love the package the toy came in more than the toy itself! Once the package has no more interest, the dog can focus on the toy!
You can find a huge selection of different types of toys at your local pet store. There are balls, rope toys, frisbees, rawhides, flips, chews, and the list goes on! The last few items are not really toys – but you will occasionally see a dog throw a rawhide up in the air before devouring it! The fluffy, fuzzy, squeaky toys are a favorite for dogs of all ages. Some dogs love to take their stuffed toys everywhere.
Some dogs will only interact with the squeaky toys to destroy the squeaker! Once the toy is silent, the toy is no longer interesting! The golden retriever in this video is not trying to destroy the squeaker – he is enjoying every minute of his playtime.
