Martin, the English bulldog, is completely deaf and his humans are teaching him ASL. So far, Martin has managed to learn “watch me”, “sit”, “down”, “stay”, “spin”, “heel”, “go to bed”, “off” and more tricks.
Bulldogs are notoriously hard to train because they have a stubborn streak, but Martin shows us that this is no problem for him at all! He’s a smart pup who isn’t going to let his deafness get in the way of him enjoying his life and doing everything else a dog who can hear would do!
In the video on the next page, you can see Martin’s progression from 11 weeks to 15 weeks of age. It really is incredible!
