Meet Kumbali, the cheetah and Kago the rescued Labrador retriever mix! You may remember them from their adorable video where the two play together. Now they are ready to explore and make some new friends together!
What’s extra special is these two have one of the strongest animal bonds we’ve ever seen! The adorable Labrador mix and cheetah couple like to do things together and enjoy getting out of their comfort zones. That’s how they got to meet African penguins at the Metro Richmond Zoo!
Kago and Kumbali have become famous worldwide after the zoo released videos of the two young animals playing together. “When Metro Richmond Zoo released the original video telling the story of Kumbali and Kago, we had no idea they would become international internet sensations,” the zoo said in a press release. “Media requests have come in from all over the world.”
Now they’re setting out to make new friends and first up – the penguins! These penguins are actually native to Africa, which most people don’t realize. Many think penguins live only in cold climates, but according to the zookeeper, most penguins actually live in warmer weather (as you’ll see in the video on page 2).
When Kumbali and Kago meet these penguins, they are just in awe of these little waddling birds!
See their reactions on page 2!
