Labradors really will do anything for a treat! Even pretend to play the ukulele! This awesome Lab, Lady, cooperates beautifully with her human! She is all dressed up in a hoodie and human hands, playing the ukulele in exchange for a yummy treat! Sounds like a good deal to me! She plays well too and sits perfectly still, waiting for her human to give her a treat.
Labs are known for wanting to be a part of whatever is going on and that’s what makes them great family dogs. Lady seems to fit right in, joining in on the fun and entertaining the humans while being the lovable pup that she is!
Speaking of Labrador retrievers, many breeds are named after the place of their origin, but the Labrador is an exception to this rule. According to MNN.com, “The breed originated in the 1700s a bit south of Labrador, on the island of Newfoundland. It was known as the St. John’s dog, named after the capital city of Newfoundland.
The Labrador is famous for its love of water, which is no wonder as it was a helper for fishermen, fetching nets and rope or retrieving fish escaped from the nets from the icy sea.”
