Labrador Retriever Mix Must Say Goodbye To The Prison Inmate Who Raised Her!

In the video below, you’ll meet a dog named Esther who was severely abused in a puppy mill before being rehabilitated through the Prison-trained K-9 Companion Program. This organization pulls dogs from bad situations (puppy mills, neglect, abandonment, etc) and gives them an opportunity they might not otherwise have. Most dogs who come into the program don’t have much training and may have behavior or trust issues, but as they bond with the inmates and work together, something amazing happens.

Here, it’s simply incredible to watch as Jason, a prison inmate, forms his bond with Esther the lab mix, and eventually must say an emotional goodbye after successfully training her and helping her emerge from her shell.
