When dogs serve in the military, it can be a big deal for their parents to return home with them and adopt them. They’ve been by their sides through thick and thin, and it’s important that that bond remains with them forever. But not every soldier gets to make it out alive, and these dogs are left behind!
That’s what happened to Sergeant Joshua Ashley and his dog Sirius. Ashley had asked his mother to take care of his dog, and when he unfortunately passed away, she did just that three years later when Sirius was retired from his service. She went to meet him at the airport, and it was as if the dog knew who she was!
