Everyone meet Pituca, an adorable Labrador pup who knows that medicines are good for her and that she should take them to get better soon. This is one of the most mature fur balls I’ve seen today!
Pituca the fur ball not only took her medicine without a hassle, once she was done, she slowly waked towards her water bowl to drink some water after taking the medicine. How cool is that? Of course we know how our fur balls don’t like taking their pills, but as pet parents we have to ensure they take them to feel better. Here’s one way you can help.
According to Cesar’s Way, “Food is your friend when it comes to coaxing dogs into taking their medication. You can put a pill or even liquid medication in the dog’s food or water. The best time to give a pill is when the dog is hungry for a meal. As long as the veterinarian says that it is okay to eat with the medication, then by all means use it as a tool. Dogs love food, so you can crush the pill and put it in their dog food, snacks, or even use peanut butter or cream cheese.”
