Mother Dog And Her Puppies Get A Second Chance At Life After Being Abandoned In A Roadside Ditch

It is heartbreaking that several dogs have been abandoned on the streets and left to fend for themselves. In this case, someone in Serbia was cruel enough to abandon a mother dog and her puppies.

Fortunately, the Dog Rescue Shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia, got wind of the situation and moved in quickly to rescue the mother dog and her puppies.

Like any good mother would do, the mother dog did not abandon her pup and fend for herself. Instead, rescuers found her protecting one of her pups by holding him when they arrived at the scene to evacuate them to a better place.

The mother dog looked distraught when help arrived. It was clear to the rescuers that she and her pups urgently needed food, water, and medical care. One of the rescuers who approached the dogs said all he saw were the “sad and frightened eyes” of the mother dog. Dehydration and hunger had set in because the dogs were abandoned in the roadside ditch without food and water.

The mother dog soon became trusting and allowed the rescuer to handle her pups, giving them a kiss to show how much he cared.

Thanks to the timely intervention of the Dog Rescue Shelter, the mother dog, and her pups will get a second chance at life. But this time, with much love and care.
