Natures Menu Recalls Dog Food Because It's Contaminated With A Killer Food Poisoning Bug

Attention all pup parents! If you have recently purchased Natures Menu products for your pup, then please read this, as the company is recalling one of its products due to its being contaminated by a killer food poisoning bug.

According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Natures Menu’s ‘Country Hunter 80% Farm Reared Turkey with Wholesome Fruit and Veg’ frozen dog food, has been found to contain a dangerous bacterium called salmonella that can result in deadly food poisoning. Salmonella is, in fact, a cause of food poisoning in humans and as such may even effect pup parents through physical contact and handling of the food. Some symptoms of the effects of the bacterium are diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fevers.

As such, a product recall notice has been issued and is being distributed to all business that sell the product – this mostly consists of specialty retailers, although upmarket store chain Waitrose also carries the product. The products being recalled are under the batch code 13122017 and have an expiry date of 13th December 2017.

To pup Mommies and Daddies, be sure to use clean utensils and bowls when handling a fur ball’s food at all times! This is just a friendly reminder to keep your pups safe. Now, please like and share this so that other fur ball families can see and be aware of this issue!
