Once Naked Puppy Gets A Massive Glow Up With Long Fur

When a rescuer from Lightshine Canine, South Dakota, saw Mikita for the first time, she was merely a stray living on a reservation. Her skin was raw and red and she was on the brink of starvation.

It was difficult to tell what breed she was based on her appearance because of how much fur she was missing.

She was later transferred to a foster from Happy Tails Rescue who treated her for range.

This proved successful and soon her gray and white fur began to reappear.

She was a fluffy dog that was later determined to be a husky. Coincidentally, a woman named Jessi Sova was looking for a friend for her rescue husky. When she saw Mikita’s story on Facebook, she had already decided that she wanted to send in an application to adopt her. She had brought her son to meet her as well as they both fell in love.

Now that her fur was growing back and she found a home, there was one more thing for Mikita to overcome. She had some back problems that was making playing and sleeping painful for her. She would even wake her mom a few times a night, hardly able to stand on her back legs.

She was taken to the vet and it was discovered that she had an infection of the vertebrae. She was prescribed antibiotics and soon recovered. Her fur also made a comeback and she had the ultimate glow up!

It keeps getting longer and longer and she’s much stronger now, so she can play and live her life to the fullest, knowing she is in the care of someone who cares for her dearly.
