Pet Food Recall - 9 States Included For Potential Salmonella Risk In Popular Product

Blue Buffalo is voluntarily recalling one of its products called the Cub Size Wilderness Wild Chews Bones as it may be contaminated with Salmonella. Nevada residents NEED to read this FDA warning.

Since Blue Buffalo is voluntarily recalling one of its products, Nevada is one of the 9 states that are included in the pet food recall because these contaminated products have been distributed at PetSmart stores. During a routine testing, the presence of Salmonella was detected in the affected product and although no illnesses have been reported, pet parents are urged to dispose the contaminated product or return it to where they purchased it from for a refund.

Salmonella can affect dogs as it is known to cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. If you find any symptoms and if your pet has consumed the recalled product, please contact your vet. Salmonella can also affect humans from handling contaminated products. Therefore remember to always WASH YOUR HANDS after handling contaminated products and wipe any surfaces exposed to these products.
