What Are The Recommended Dosages? Find Out Here!
If this is your absolute first time trying coconut oil on your pup it’s very important that you start with small amounts. Gradually increase the amount of coconut oil you use, but always begin with a small amount. Your pup needs time to adjust to the coconut oil to his diet and so if you start with a large amount he might not be able to take it easily and it could cause diarrhea or greasy stools.
Always start with a small amount
- ¼ teaspoon per day for small pups and puppies.
- 1 teaspoon for large pups, or even just a dab if your pup’s constitution is sensitive.
Once your pup adjusts to coconut oil, you can then use these dosages
- About 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight daily
- Or about 1 tablespoon per 30 pounds
Remember to start with a small amount. Please also check with your vet before making any dietary changes. Don’t forget to SHARE this post with everyone you know!
