Poor Pup Who Spent Most Of His Life Chained Can't Believe He's Finally Found Love

For all 14 years of his life, Diesel was denied the right to a free life. The blind pup spent his entire lifetime chained up outside since he was a puppy, braving it through snow storms, scorching hot weather, and a tornado.

Even when he was “rescued” by an underfunded organization, he continued to remain chained up in the rescue compound.

Newman Nation: Senior Pets United’s founder, Zoe Kharasch, found out about the story of Diesel and decided then and there that she would save him. But she was met with skepticism from all corners, as most believed that Diesel would fail to adapt to an indoor life at all. Some insisted he should be euthanized or simply kept on his chain because he wouldn’t know how to behave when not restrained.

But Zoe didn’t listen to the skeptics and sent a volunteer to rescue the pup. The moment the volunteer met Diesel and took him into her car, he was incredibly excited but nothing short of well-behaved. He sat in the backseat next to the volunteer’s children and enjoyed pets and belly rubs all the way back to the center.

Diesel was soon brought to a foster home, where he immediately hopped onto the couch and lay happily. He fit in so well to his new temporary home that it almost looked like he’d been there forever! The pup is now in excellent health, and armed with the tennis ball he’s had since he was a puppy, he loves finding people to play with and can’t wait to find his forever home. If you’d like to adopt Diesel, find out more info here!
