Pregnant Dog Cries Tears Of Joy When Kind Woman Comes To Rescue Her

Jacks Anderson and her wife were getting lunch when they noticed a black pittie laying around the chicken stand they had stopped at. She was on the sidewalk, under some barstools, and was watching the couple.

Anderson says that she never took her eyes off them, but she didn’t try to approach them or beg for food. At the time, the couple didn’t think much of the incident. But, as they were about to drive home, they noticed the dog was pregnant, so they knew they had to help her out.

Anderson approached the dog and gave her some leftovers. The dog was anxious at first, but the couple was patient. They didn’t get too close too fast, instead, they took their time to earn her trust. When she finally came closer and ate out of their hands, the couple took her and placed her in their car.

The dog, who they named Poppy, was calmer than the couple would have thought, and you could see the relief on her face when she finally got somewhere comfortable. Anderson swears the dog even had tears in her eyes. The women took Poppy to the local vet, where she was examined and treated for fleas and worms. The vet concluded that Poppy was otherwise healthy, and they released her in the couple’s care.

They took her home, where Poppy immediately laid on the couch and slept for hours. After a couple of days, she became more active and was following her rescuers around everywhere. The three of them bonded immediately, and are now a happy little family. And Andersen is sure that Poppy will be a great mother when her babies are ready to arrive.
